Rockateur is the newest addition to Benefits growing collection of boxed powder blushes. I believe with 10 shades to choose from, Rockateur is the first shade with the unique formula that combines baked, powder, cream and fluid textures to give a brighter & more pure color payoff.
This color is described as Rose Gold and I would say it is as close to that actual color as I have ever seen any blush come. It has a beautiful impression in the powder with a gorgeous gold sheen overlay. Once the overlay wears off a little, the blush applies with more of a satin appearance. This formula is extremely buttery and creamy feeling. It's very soft and applies beautifully to the skin.
I have found that this really shows up on my fair skin tone & have applied it to a medium skin tone friend and it showed up just as pigmented on her skin as well. It has a built in highlight quality to it, without being glittery.
Benefit Powder Blushes always have that notable scent to them. Rockateur is no different, it has a very pleasant scent to it. If I had to describe the scent I would most closely compare it to a Rose scent.
The Powder Blushes all come with brushes that are included. The brush included in the Rockateur is a little different from the rest by the fact that it is flat on the back and the bristles taper and angle in a bit. It's a very soft brush and I find that I actually prefer to apply the blush with this brush for the most pigmented and even application.
Here is the thickness of the brush, about the thickness of my pinky finger. I think Benefit hit it right on the money with this really nice soft brush! For $28 it makes it very nice in my opinion, to have a brush that really applies the product well and feels nice on the face.
Overall I was very impressed with this blush and think it is a great addition to my collection. It is nice because I find the color extremely wearable and it is unique enough to have me reaching for it on a daily basis! Have any of ya'll tried the Rockateur? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for reading!
XO- Lola
